ABOUT JUNIOR GOLF OF MAINE AND THEIR MISSION
In the best interest of promoting Junior golf in Maine, several organizations have come together to form the joint Maine Junior Golf initiative.While the opportunities will be broken down into regions of the state and according to ability level, the goal is to include all programs, from opportunities for novice players all the way up through championship tournament participation.
Under the guidance of The First Tee of Maine, the Maine Chapter of the New England PGA and the Maine State Golf Association, the Maine Junior Golf Initiative will be not only a clearing house for all events, but also a place that clubs, parents and golfers themselves can go to educate themselves further on all parts of the game – including basic rules, care of the golf course, pace of play, and the values that golf represents, like honesty, integrity and sportsmanship.
Golf can be an intimidating sport to start as a child. Junior Golf helps support parents and children alike to give them the best foot forward into this amazing sport.
We at Golf Book of New England will giving back a portion of proceeds from every book sold to help support Junior Golf of Maine. We are proud to be supporting a great youth program that does so much for our local communities.
